Just Care Consultancy

Who Are Just Care Consultancy Ltd?

Just Care Consultancy Ltd was formed in January 2009 as we recognised that individuals funding their own care were often overlooked and were left without little or no structured  resources to help.

Sarah Heselgrave: Director

I have worked in the NHS periodically since I left school when I started on a management trainee course with the Local Area Health Authority. Over the years I have worked in different areas of the NHS, both in GP practices delivering patient services and for the last 8 years in a Primary Care Trust where I have gained experience in Primary Care Development and more recently in Continuing Healthcare, firstly as a project worker and then gaining a promotion to Business Support Manager. Recently I have obtained ILM level 3 in management.

Over the years I have gained a good overview and vast knowledge of the health environment and how it effects the needs of patients. I'm able to bring these experiences to Just Care Consultancy Ltd to ensure our clients receive a seamless service based on best practice and indepth knowledge.

Karen Grainger: Director

I worked in the NHS from 2003-2009 and began as a retrospective nurse assessor where I investigated Ombudsmans claims against the NHS. This required an evidenced based summary and presentation to a panel and often followed by further presentations to the Strategic Health Authority (SHA) Some of the cases I  managed, have been investigated by the Parliamentary Health Ombudsman recieving comments of 'Excellent evidence' and 'Clear process followed'.

When this work came to a close I was promoted to the Lead Nurse position within Continuing Healthcare where I was responsible for ensuring consistancy and decisions for Continuing Healthcare Eligibility. I was also a line manager to a team of Continuing Healthcare nurses and administrators.

I was trained as a Registered Nurse in the Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing Service and I served for 6 years in total. After leaving the forces and having a family I returned to West Sussex and became a manager of a local nursing home. My next appointment was that of a staff nurse working in the local hospice, learning invaluable nursing and keyskills for care of the dying and supporting families throughout this difficult time.

On leaving the hospice I became a registered manager for a large home care and nursing agency and built up the business from 7 existing staff providing 100 home care hours a week to 70 staff providing 1500 home care hours per week within 3 years.

I have vast and diverse knowledge and skills in key areas to bring clinical expertise to Just Care Consultancy Ltd. My experience enables me to navigate through the complex issues of Continuing Healthcare with clear knowledge of the processes and bring empathy to the needs of our clients. I am able to deliver this in a professional, timely and understandable format to ensure peace of mind. I still hold my nursing registration under the Nursing medical council(NMC).

I was nominated (August 09) and awarded a Customer Excellence Service award for Leadership and professional management of customers and team by West Sussex Healthcare and West Sussex PCT.
